In a Work for
Private Party (WFPP) Agreement, the prospective partner/customer submits a work
description and requests a proposal from the Naval Surface Warfare Center
Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC
IHEODTD).
In order to
obtain an understanding of the technical scope, requirements, schedule,
individual roles, and the ability of NSWC IHEODTD to deliver specific goods
and/or services, a series of technical discussions usually precede a Request
for Proposal (RFP).
The WFPP
Agreement also includes an Indemnity Agreement paragraph. NSWC IHEODTD may begin once the WFPP
Agreement is signed by both parties and funding has been received and accepted.
