Safety

Safe conditions are ensured through an aggressive and comprehensive 24-hour a day NAVOSH Program fully endorsed by the Secretary of the Navy and implemented through appropriate chain of command. All possible steps are taken to eliminate or effectively minimize injuries and occupational illnesses as a result of employment, off duty (recreation, and public), and to protect equipment, material and facilities from damage or loss. These programs contain sub-elements to ensure the Safety and Occupational Health program is implemented in accordance with Navy directives and statutory requirements. Safety services are provided via Safety Office located a Naval Air Station Whiting Field Milton, Florida. For more information on the OSHA Program, please log onto: http://www.osha.gov.
