NGA awards contract to Lockheed Martin

SPRINGFIELD, Va. — The National Geospatial-Intelligence awarded a GEOINT Visualization Services contract to Lockheed Martin Corp. Sept. 29.

The estimated overall contract value including exercised and unexercised options is $115,425,661.

The contract requirements are:

Sustainment of the legacy GVS software baseline across all existing security enclaves and networks; development and deployment of the 3D/4D Globe; development, delivery and deployment of “portable” globes for community members throughout the IC and military service branches; development and collection of business intelligence information to support enterprise management process and product improvement; Sustainment of a robust user engagement program to capture future requirements and incorporate them into the GVS baseline.


NGA awards contract to Lockheed Martin
Sept. 29, 2016


SPRINGFIELD, Va. — The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency awarded the Kalypso contract Sept. 29 to Lockheed Martin Corp.

The Kalypso contract will establish development requirements for new capabilities using agile methodologies for planned Compartmented GEOINT Enterprise Services (CGES) to National System for Geospatial-Intelligence migration activities, cloud initiatives, capability upgrades and capacity planning.

It will also provide requirements for sustainment activities including operations support, recap of the hardware, management of assets and security-related tasks to be performed on CGES components, and backup and restore of missions systems.

The contract has a total period of performance of five years and the estimated overall contract value is $108,811,384. The modification base year value for this contract is $10,078,438.


NGA awards contract to Planet Labs

SPRINGFIELD, Va. — The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency awarded a contract subscribing to imagery products and services provided by Planet Labs, Inc. of San Francisco, California.
 
The contract allows the Department of Defense and intelligence community to access Planet Labs’ global imagery content, updated every fifteen days. The introductory contract includes a seven-month period of performance and the total value of the contract is $20,000,000. The effective date is Sept. 12, 2016.
 
The global scope of coverage and high temporal frequency of collection from Planet labs will provide NGA with new data sources to support its many missions.
