DOD Visitor is a joint effort of the DOD Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Joint Staff, DISA, the National Security Agency (NSA), and the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC). The vision of DOD Visitor is to deliver the following capability to every DOD user:
“I can go anywhere in the DOD, login, and be productive.”
DoD Visitor is currently deployed on the majority of the Non-secure Internet Protocol Routing Network (NIPRNet) and on a small but growing number of Secure Internet Protocol Routing Network (SIPRNet) Windows Domain Controllers supporting end-user devices.
VALUE TO OUR MISSION PARTNERS
DOD Visitor provides basic access to the NIPRNet/SIPRNet for any visiting user that presents a valid Common Access Card (CAC)/SIPRNet Hard Token/Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificate by provisioning them with a temporary account. This account has limited privileges and is intended to primarily provide the user with browser access to the NIPRNet/SIPRNet.
