The Naval Packaging, Handling, Storage
and Transportation (PHS&T) Division is a Detachment of Naval
Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology
Division (NSWC IHEODTD) . The Detachment is located in Picatinny
Arsenal, New Jersey.
The PHS&T Division:
- Directs the performance of all PHST technical and integrated logistic support functions for Navy weapons and weapon components.
- Provides engineering management, design, development and test services to other Navy activities for non-weapon PHST and for Army/Air Force programs.
- Provides system engineering and coordination of requirements/allowance determination, acquisition integration, standardization and use of Test, Measure & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) for all shipboard and
shore prime equipment/systems throughout their life cycle.
- Has been designated as NAVSEA’s Technical Warrant Holder
for Ordnance Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation.
