13th Annual C4 Awards Dinner Honors Marine Corps Award Winners

Congratulations to the following Marine Corps team and individual award
winners. They were recognized at the 13th Annual C4 Awards Dinner on April
21, by the Marine Corps Association and Foundation.
Communications Platoon, 4th Marine Regiment was awarded the Alfred M. Gray
Award for command and control support, setting the example for Marine Communications
units around the world.
Mr. Niklas Mecci-Ericson serves as the Director, Regional Network
Operations and Security Center, Marine Forces Pacific. He was crucial in
developing integrated cyber operations capabilities within Marine Corps
Forces Pacific, greatly improving network operational readiness and
MARFORPAC's warfighting capability.
Sergeant Jonathon Hanna provided significant technical support and
leadership to 1st Marine Air Wing while serving as a Cyber Network Operator
for Detachment Alpha, Marine Wing Communications Squadron-18.
Sergeant Christopher Burkard demonstrated exemplary leadership, technical
prowess, and work ethic while serving as the S-6 Assistant Maintenance Chief
for Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa.
Captain Richard Clay planned and executed a communications
architecture for USMC forces, allowing for resilient communications across
the European and Africa area of operations as the G-6 Operations Officer for
Marine Forces Europe/Africa.
Staff Sergeant John Candler serves with Communications Company,
Headquarters Regiment, 3d Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary
Force, Marine Forces Pacific. As a communications maintenance
technician, he ensures maintenance and training for the Very Small Aperture
Terminal family of systems.
Staff Sergeant Casey McCarthy serves as a cyber network defense
specialist for the Marine Corps Network and Operations Security Center,
defending the Marine Corps' networks against cyber threats.
