Take Action
As you may have heard, October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and as the Deputy Chief of Navy Operations for Information Dominance (OPNAV N2/N6) advises, it is an all-hands on deck responsibility.
CHIPS has been publishing at least one cybersecurity article each day during October to stress the importance of protecting your security both at home and in the workplace. Visit Navy.mil for helpful guidance.
Notorious hacking episodes, such as the cyber intrusions on the Office of Personnel Management, Sony Pictures Entertainment and health insurer Anthem, have brought cybersecurity to the forefront of national security discussions. While you may not have a direct voice in these discussions, you can do much to protect your privacy and help ensure that you are not a victim of identity theft.

On Sept. 30, CHIPS staff had the pleasure of attending the commissioning of the new Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, French Air Force Gen. Denis Mercier, in Norfolk. We have also been tracking and writing about Trident Juncture 2015, the biggest NATO exercise since 2002, involving more than 36,000 personnel from 30 Allied and partner nations.
