United States Army Reserve Strategic Command Troop Program Unit (STRATCOM TPU) honored its outgoing commander, Maj. Adam Stanley, and welcomed Maj. Russell Porter in the change of command ceremony Sept. 10 at Peterson Air Force Base auditorium.  In his speech, Stanley remarked on the endless productivity that his Soldiers have provided to the unit, to the Army Reserve.  “You’re more than just an active duty Soldier. You’re a dad; you’re a mom, husband, and wife.  I appreciate the sacrifice because I know that it does takes sacrifice to be here today and everything.”

William Andrews, both enlisted in Salt Lake City. The Soldiers of the 76th Division Operational Response based out of Fort Douglas raised the black and white POW/MIA flag to honor these fallen comrades.
During a flagging ceremony for POW/MIA Day held at Salt Lake City, Utah, September 16, 76th Division Operational Response Chief of Staff, Col. Doug Cherry, shook hands with surviving relative of Sgt. William Andrews, whose airplane crashed during a bombing run and was later captured and executed by the Japanese during World War II, along with several of his crews on board.  His remains have never been returned.
