Precious Metals Recovery Equipment and Supplie

There is a subpart of the Precious Metals Recovery Program (PMRP) requiring DoD components to identify additional precious metal generating activities within the DoD. This includes silver recovery from film development, gold recovery using vacuums during dental procedures, and other unique precious metal sources that would contribute to the PMRP. The PMRP fully funds the equipment and supplies to the DoD component executing recovery efforts. Once the item(s) are filled with recovered precious metals, DoD generating activities can utilize the local DLA Disposition Field Site Office for turn-in.

There are times when the effluent exiting the DLA Disposition Services provided silver recovery units requires further treatment before it can be discharged. This waste is managed in accordance with Environmental regulations and is not part of the PMRP Equipment and Supply service to the DoD Customers.
