Commander's Award for Civilian Service

The Commander's Award for Civilian Service is the fourth highest Department of the Army honorary award, and may be given by any Commander (Colonel and above) or civilian equivalent.

Eligibility:

  • All Army civilian employees paid from appropriated and non-appropriated funds and direct/indirect foreign nationals, are eligible for consideration.

Criteria:

  • Nominations for this award will reflect demonstrated initiative and skill in devising new or improved equipment, work methods; leadership in performing assigned duties; rendered professional or public relations service which resulted in considerable favorable publicity in the local area.
