Included in this section are a number of Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs instructions, manuals, and memorandums that the Office of Warrior Care Policy abides by in order to best support wounded, ill, and/or injured Service members. BENEFITS POLICY

CARE COORDINATION POLICY

Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 1300.25: Guidance for the Education and Employment Initiative (E21) and Operation Warfighter (OWF) This instruction establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures for development and implementation of the DoD E2I and OWF in accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5124.02, section 1611 of Public Law 110-181, sections 1142-1144 of title 10, United States Code (U.S.C.) and section 8111 of title 38, U.S.C.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense: Interagency Complex Care Coordination Requirements for Service Members and Veterans This MOU sets forth a common operational model and responsibilities to be adhered to by the VA and DoD Parties to support the VA/DoD Interagency Care Coordination Committee (IC3) processes.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Defense and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), System of Record for Non-Clinical Care Coordination: Recovery Care Program Support Solution This MOU establishes guidelines for electronic transfer and synchronization of non-clinical case management data in support of severely wounded, ill and injured Service members and Veterans.

 

DISABILITY EVALUATION SYSTEM POLICY

Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 1332.18, Volume 3: Quality Assurance Program This volume of the DES Manual implements policy, assigns responsibilities and procedures for the DES QAP pursuant to section 524 of Public Law 112-239. It also incorporates and cancels the interim guidance in the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs’ (ASD(HA)) Memorandum.

 

VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION & EMPLOYMENT SERVICES POLICY
