U.S. Army Reserve

 About Us "Always Engaged"

The Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC) provides deployable forces and vital support that enable intelligence operations, expeditionary missions, and international engagement.

Formed in 2005 as the USAR’s first functional command, the MIRC has grown into trusted intelligence partner and provider. The MIRC is ideally suited to supply continued intelligence support enablers for expeditionary missions and international engagement activities, such as peace building and security cooperation.

The MIRC consists of over 6,300 Soldiers in more than 40 units across the continental US, Hawaii, and Europe. Since its inception, the MIRC has deployed approximately 6,000 Soldiers in support of named and unnamed contingencies around the world and provides operational intelligence support to nearly every national intelligence agency and Combatant Command.

Like their active counterparts, MIRC Soldiers provide a breadth of intelligence specialties, supply relevant and valuable operational intelligence support, and stand ready for rapid deployment when needed.

MISSION:
To provide trained, equipped, and ready Soldiers and units to meet the operational intelligence requirements of Combatant Commands and the national intelligence community.
VISION:
As an enduring operational force, the MIRC is the Army Reserve's intelligence command and premier force provider of America's Citizen-Soldiers for intelligence missions.

Enhanced by civilian skills that serve as a unique
force multiplier, we deliver vital multi-functional military capabilities essential to the Combatant Commands and the National Intelligence Community in the form of combat deployments, theater security cooperation, and reach-back intelligence.
