U.S. Army Reserve

About Us "ONAWAY!"

Commander's Intent, MG Waddell:

The 76 ORC exists to prepare Army Reserve forces for what might be America's worst day.  We will do this by preparing TF 76 to respond to CRE-A events within 96-hours and to meet other ARNORTH and NORTHCOM requirements, and by providing administrative support, training, readiness, and oversight to assigned units, elements, and detachments supporting other Combatant Commands, Army Service Component Commands, and Combat Support agencies.  We will do this within the highest standards of ethical professionalism.  By doing this, the 76th will be ready and capable of being the Army Reserve's single coordinator for DSCA response, while providing Army Reserve staff for worldwide contingencies.

Our battle cry says it all "ONAWAY!"
Onaway is a Chippewa Indian word which means 'stay alert-get there first'.

Located on historical Stephen A. Douglas Armed Forces Reserve Center (Fort Douglas), Salt Lake City, Utah.

The 76th Operational Response Command provides augmentation and operational capabilities as directed to Combatant, Unified, and Joint Commanders, and to DoD Agencies.  On Order, Task Force 76 provides rapid CONUS response for CBRN incidents.

We are home to two Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) brigades (209th RSG and 415th CM BDE), two augmentation units, twelve Army Reserve Elements, the Task Force 76 (C2CRE-A), 10 Regional Emergency Preparedness Liaison Office (EPLO) Teams, and 53 State EPLO Teams.  Our units are disbursed throughout the 48 continental United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  The mission and skill sets of our units and Soldiers are as diverse as their locations.
