What People Say About the Virtual Hope Box App

Nothing’s more persuasive than a review from someone who’s actually used a product. Here at T2, we welcome comments from those who use our free psychological health apps, even to let us know that a feature doesn’t work right or that a new update made their data vanish (oops). We need that information so we can fix things. But we love hearing about when things work, and when our apps help people’s lives. This week we begin a series of blogs featuring what people like about T2’s apps.

The Virtual Hope Box app, one of T2’s more recently released apps, is becoming one of our most popular products. It’s based on an idea used in counseling known as a ‘hope box’, where a person gathers items that encourage them—like photos of loved ones, an inspiring quote, a flattering letter, a favorite seashell—and stashes them in a box. When times are tough and they need a lift or even a reason to keep going, they can look through the box and find something to raise their spirits. Now take that idea and put it into an app, and you have Virtual Hope Box; instead of a box tucked away in your closet, it’s with you on your phone wherever you go.

Here are some comments from actual users about this app:

“I really enjoy this app. It has a lot of great ideas and coping skills.”

“I was given the virtual hope box by my psychiatrist as a tool in dealing with anxiety & acute depression. I had reached a point in my life where I was experiencing irrational & overwhelming emotions and felt helpless in dealing with them at times. With continued counciling (sic) and this app, I have been able to get ahold of my life once again. There is always room for improvement, but I do not hesitate to recommend this app to other people dealing with depression and runaway anxiety.”

“Good job Nice app! Love it!”

“Very Helpful. For helping with something as all encompassingly huge as run-away anxiety and depression, I have been very impressed with something as simple and straight-forward as this app as a good tool for distraction, grounding and shaking yourself loose when in the grip of out of control feelings. I would heartily recommend this app with the blessing of a person's therapist or Doctor.”

“Neat useful application Brings together all the useful things in one place very well made”

“Great game fun to help you when you are upset”
