USAREC kicks off senior leaders conference
|
|
FORT KNOX, Ky. -- U.S. Army Recruiting Command's Annual Leaders Training Conference began here Oct. 18 and will run through Oct. 21.
"I am so proud of the team for accomplishing the FY16 mission," said Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Snow, U.S. Army Recruiting Command's commanding general. "At the end of this week, I want to make sure we all leave here with a clear picture of the way ahead for FY17."
The conference has been extended from three to four days this year, according to Rick Ayer, director of the Commander's Planning Group. He said the extra day will allow for more focused in-depth training.

Recruiter named Big Brother of Year
A Zanesville, Ohio, recruiter is the 2016 Big Brother of the Year for the organization’s Southeastern Ohio chapter.
Recently awarded the recognition, Staff Sgt. Doug Lowe is the Big Brother for a six-year-old boy. For more than a year, he';s driven an hour each way to mentor and share time with the child.

Recruiting and Retention School gets new enlisted leader
FORT KNOX, Ky. -- A former Cleveland Recruiting Battalion command sergeant major is now the top enlisted noncommissioned officer for the Recruiting and Retention School.
Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph Multunas took responsibility of the school house from Command Sgt. Maj. James Nicolai during a change of responsibility ceremony here Oct. 14.
