“You will be the only chemical assets that the U.S. forces have in the Middle East or central Asia.  So you guys will be there for emergency response function, but you’re also going to be there training, teaching, whether Iraqis or some of our other coalition allies, or whether it’s our own Soldiers,” said Maj. The 81st Regional Support Command, Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Arlan DeBlieck, addressed the Soldiers during a Yellow Ribbon event held in Orlando, Fla., Aug 13-14, 2016.  He said that the stress that the Soldiers go through doesn’t go away, it’s always there; that the Soldiers learn to manage despite the stress.  He said that separation is going to create some issues that the Soldiers probably did not see in their marriage.  “The Yellow Ribbon has the people here that will help you cope (during reintegration) and work through those issues so that you have a stronger marriage.”

During the event, the Soldiers and family members were provided with sufficient information, services and other benefits such as Family Programs, Education Resource Information, chaplain advice, Tricare Programs, USAA banking, Veterans Administration benefits, Employer Support of Guard and Reserve (ESGR), and more.

The Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) 147 G Shop Supervisor Donald Dillon received his plaque for 81st Regional Support Command Civilian of the Year in June. 81st Regional Support Command Director of Logistics Ardis Ferguson and his deputy, Gregg Charvoz presented Dillon the award and the Commanders Civilian Award while presenting the AMSA with the USARC-level Army Award for Maintenance Excellence.

March 24, 2016 - A recent partnership between the 81st Regional Support Command (RSC) and an active duty Engineer unit provided a successful launch of the Command’s new Self-Help and Troop Construction initiative at the Morehead City, North Carolina, Army Reserve Center pier.
March 22, 2016 - The 511th Engineer Dive Detachment used their special skillset to partner with the 81st Regional Support Command (RSC) and its Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) 128. The AMSA provided support to the crew as they performed work at the pier located at the reserve center, home to the 824th Transportation Company (Heavy Watercraft).
