Agency Fights Hunger by Donating 85,190 Pounds of Goods to Local Communities

Endpoint Security Solutions to Provide Holistic Approach to Cybersecurity
The Host Based Security System (HBSS), which enables the Defense Department to detect and counter known cyber threats to the DOD enterprise in real-time through a collection of flexible commercial-off-the-shelf and government-off-the-shelf applications, will be combined with several other tools to provide an evolved, holistic approach to cybersecurity network defense, known as Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS).

DOD Cloud Provisional Authorizations Save Mission Owners Time and Money
As the Department of Defense (DOD) continues to adopt commercial cloud capabilities, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is helping cloud service providers and DOD mission owners work through the DOD Cloud Provisional Authorization (PA) process, which allows DOD to provisionally authorize a cloud service offering (CSO) and leverage that information many times over throughout DOD, saving mission owners time and money versus conducting independent assessments.

DISA’s UISS-APAN System Supports Rim of the Pacific Exercise
The Unclassified Information Sharing Service (UISS) All Partners Access Network (APAN) managed by the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Multinational Information Systems Division provided essential information sharing capabilities to the biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The exercise began June 30 and will conclude Aug. 4.
