DISA announces change of director and JFHQ-DODIN change of command ceremony

Fort George G. Meade, Md. — Air Force Lt. Gen. Ronnie D. Hawkins, Jr., will relinquish the position of Director of the Defense Information Systems Agency, and the command of Joint Force Headquarters — Department of Defense Information Network (JFHQ-DoDIN) to Army Lt. Gen. (select) Alan Lynn, during a July 23, 2015 ceremony at the agency’s headquarters complex here.

Hawkins has been the DISA Director since January 2012. He will retire after 38 years of dedicated service to the U.S. Air Force and Department of Defense.

Lynn, currently DISA’s vice director, previously commanded U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command, Fort Huachuca, Ariz., responsible for all Army communications worldwide. He also held the position of Deputy Commanding General for Network Operations, U.S. Army Cyber Command/2nd U.S. Army. He served as DISA’s Chief of Staff from 2007 to 2008.
