Special Weapons Division
is a Detachment of Naval
Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology
Division (NSWC IHEODTD). The Detachment is located near
McAlester, OK.
Supporting Navy special weapons, the division
provides an array of engineering services, technical publication support
services, logistics support services, safety program services, and inspection
services on assigned weapons systems. The division also provides depot
maintenance and repair services on trainers, ancillary support equipment, inert
components, and containers, as well as manufactures special purpose support
equipment.
