**Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) reached end-of-life on June 30, 2016 and has started the decommissioning process. The service is no longer available online and the shutdown was scheduled to align with our last partners' roll off from the service.**
The Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) capability is a DISA-hosted enterprise service that supports the Enterprise Services by providing a container for deploying reusable workflows. Developers can connect applications and services together quickly and easily, enabling the exchange and/or transformation of data. ESB provides the platform to integrate, mediate, filter, and route data between applications or web services regardless of the technologies being used. DISA also supports the creation and deployment of third party workflows through the use of the ESB's governance process.
ESB provides the highly available platform to host community specific workflows. These workflows can be any degree of complexity and utilize any of the reusable Enterprise Service modules in the library or custom components. The ESB even provides custom connectors for integrating with Enterprise Messaging (EM), Open Source Attribute Based Access Control (OS ABAC), and Data Services Environment (DSE). ESB exposes high performance, scalable, reusable, and interoperable endpoints for system developers and integrators. The common platform and components increase speed of development and decrease time to an enterprise production service.
