First Army's Master Sgt. Anthony L. Taylor, runs in the 32nd Annual Army Ten Miler race in Washington D.C., October 9, 2016. Taylor, who completed the race in about one hour and 39 minutes, was one of several that signed up from First Army for the 10-mile run through Washington D.C. The race started and ended at the Pentagon. More than 30,000 service members and civilians ran in this year's race.

The 85th SPT CMD's 1st Mobilization Support Group was also inactivated alongside 2nd MSG. The purpose of the discussion was also to encourage leaders to connect with and reach out to fellow service members; review resources available to soldiers, DA Civilians, and their families; and identify stressors and high-risk behaviors that can lead to psychological distress and suicide.

October 18, 2016 - As leaders move into new roles it is important for them to understand the roles of their counterparts, especially if it is their first time working with a unique command like the 85th Support Command.
October 17, 2016 - First Army command teams from around the country arrived here Oct. 15 for the first portion of a New Command Team Orientation Brief designed to help the active-component leaders better understand processes used by their reserve-component counterparts.
September 28, 2016 - “Color Guard, post the colors.” A deafening silence filled the room; then the whisper of a cadence flowed out between the flag bearers.
