The 250th Military Intelligence Battalion (Battlefield Surveillance Brigade) is headquartered in Long Beach, California. Subordinate elements of this battalion are located in Long Beach, Glendale, and Moreno Valley, California. 10 February 1966 is recognized by the Department of the Army as the 250th MI BN’s organization day within the active component. The 250th MI BN was allocated to the National Guard in APR 1998, and reorganized under its current configuration on 01 September 2006.
Our Mission:
The mission of the 250th MI BN (BFSB) is to provide multi-discipline organic collection capability to division or other supported headquarters, and to provide the BFSB and division with an organic capability to execute collection operations in collaboration with Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs), corps, joint, interagency, and multinational Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) synchronization plans.
The battalion is also prepared to provide Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) and respond to domestic emergencies.
