Groce Receives 2011 Government-Wide Initiatives Excellence Award

Floyd Groce, DON CIO Enterprise Services team lead, was recently awarded the 2011 AFCEA Bethesda Government-Wide Initiatives Excellence Award. He was selected as the winner in the Outstanding Achievement for Program Management category.
The AFCEA Bethesda Government-Wide Initiatives Excellence Awards recognize individuals or groups of individuals whose contributions in information technology have significance beyond their agency or organization. These contributions represent achievements on an agency or multi-agency initiative or program leading to increased efficiencies, effectiveness, cost-savings and leadership that serve as a model of excellence for all agencies government-wide.
The awards were presented on May 12, 2011, at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, D.C.
