GIG Standards

The DON CIO is the Department's senior Global Information Grid (GIG) standards official. In this role, the DON CIO organizes and coordinates technical input from the Secretariat, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps for the DoD Information Technology Standards Committee and associated technical working groups. This body manages GIG standards for DoD by providing coordination and concurrence on review, adoption and support of IT standards for DoD interoperability.
