Operational Protection Division Mission
The
Operational Protection Division (OPD)
serves as the primary advisor to the
USACE Commanding General
for protection. Provides policy and support to
USACE organizations
for the functional areas of
Antiterrorism (AT)
,
Physical Security (PS
), and
Law Enforcement (LE)
and Criminal Intelligence (CRIMINT). In support of the
Director of Contingency Operations
, coordinates and synchronizes the functional areas of protection in order to maximize the security of the USACE workforce, infrastructure, and information in a risk-informed manner.

The Force Protection Portal was developed by and is maintained by the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL). Distribution and use of the portal is authorized to U.S. government agencies and their contractors only, to protect technical or operational information from automatic dissemination under the International Exchange Program or other means.

The Electronic Security Center (ESC) provides quality oversight and technical expertise for the design, procurement, and installation of Electronic Security Systems (ESS). Any U.S. government agency in need of electronic security should contact us to discuss individual requirements and available engineering technical support and contracting opportunities. We offer cradle-to-grave ESS technical services. When requested, we will survey, design, procure, install, test and maintain systems worldwide.
