International Agreements and Information Exchanges
DTSA is one of several DoD stakeholders that reviews
international cooperative Research, Development, Test, and
Evaluation (RDT&E) agreements, projects, and information
exchanges, managed by the
Office of Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (AT&L).
DTSA conducts technology security assessments of the proposed
technology or information to be shared with foreign partners and
determines whether it is consistent with existing information
and technology transfer policies. DTSA may recommend
changes to the scope of projects or impose restrictions to
prevent unauthorized transfer of “crown jewel” technology and
ensure the parties adequately protect military critical
information.
