Mr. Matthew Maier

Product Director, MC4 Product Management Office, U.S. Army

Mr. Maier assumed the MC4 Charter and became the first civilian Product Director to lead the program in July 2015. MC4 integrates and fields the Army capability to digitally capture medical treatment data in operational environments, enhancing continuity of care and enabling a comprehensive lifelong electronic medical record for Service members.

Mr. Maier began his federal service and acquisition career in 1989 as an electrical engineer at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, and in 1994 he transitioned to the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division. Mr. Maier has also served as a computer engineer for the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command at PM Information Warfare; worked for the Spectrum Management and Information Technology Division at the DoD Joint Spectrum Center; and served as Deputy Product Manager at PM Information Warfare within Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors. Most recently, Mr. Maier served as Director, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology ASA(ALT) Cyber Focal, within the System of Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate at the Pentagon.

Mr. Maier's awards include a Superior Civilian Service Award 2009; Army C4ISR Twelve Outstanding Personnel of the Year 2008; AFCEA Distinguished Graduate 2005; and a number of Special Act/Service Awards.

Mr. Maier has earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1990); an M.S. in Systems Engineering from George Mason University (2008), and is currently working on an M.A. in Management and Leadership from Webster University. Mr. Maier was accepted into the Army Acquisition Corps (AAC) in 2001 and graduated from the Defense Acquisition University as a Senior Service College Fellow in 2014. His professional certifications include certificates in Computer, Information and Software Intensive Systems (CISIS) and Information Assurance (NSTISSI No. 4011), and he has Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III certification in Test and Evaluation; Program Management; and Engineering.
