Director, Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO)

Mr. Philip Benjamin serves as the Deputy Director for the Defense Travel Management Office, a component of the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Personnel Policy, and the Defense Human Resource Activity.

As Deputy Director, Mr. Benjamin provides oversight for the Department’s single focal point for commercial travel, DTMO, in the areas of commercial travel management, travel policy and implementation, DoD travel charge card program management, customer support and training, functional oversight of the Defense Travel System, and station and housing allowances program management.

Mr. Benjamin retired from the United States Air Force at the rank of Colonel, having served 30 years. Key assignments included Senior Military Assistant for the Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, OUSD Policy; Director, Facilities Management and Security, Enterprise Services, OUSD Policy; Commander 45th Operations Group, Patrick AFB, Florida, and Commander 320th Operations Squadron, Francis E. Warren AFB, Wyoming.
