Dallas Area Newspaper Cluster Sold to S.A.W. Advisors, LLC
S.A.W. Advisors, LLC has acquired Star Local Media from 1013 Star Communications according to John Cribb, Cribb, Greene & Cope. Star Local Media publishes 14 community newspapers in the suburbs of Dallas. Total weekly distribution exceeds 270,000 homes. The company also has 14 affiliated websites averaging over 600,000 page views monthly.

James Harold ‘Jim’ Cunningham
Memorial services were held Aug. 26 for journalist and former newspaper publisher James Harold “Jim” Cunningham, 72, of Moulton.
Cunningham died Aug. 21 at San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he was airlifted for treatment following a three-vehicle collision July 21.
