Google Chrome drops NPAPI support (Java)

As of Google Chrome 42, support for NPAPI plug-ins will no longer be enabled by default. Popular NPAPI plug-ins include Java and Silverlight, amongst others.

If you use Google Chrome, the Helpdesk recommends you follow Oracle's instruction to re-enable NPAPI support, until Oracle releases another option. This will ensure you can use all Java based features in Blackboard. Instructions may be found here:

Alternatively, you may switch to another browser that does support NPAPI plug-ins, such as Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer.
