Scholarship available for first and second year college students in communities surrounding Dallas and San Angelo, TX. Application deadline is May 15.

Adelante! U.S. Educational Leadership Fund
Several scholarships available for Hispanic students of different majors and grade levels. Scholarship requirements  and deadlines vary by scholarship.

American Association of School Personnel Administrators
Scholarships available to minority student’s pursuing careers in education or education management, Must be in Junior or Senior year of the program. Application due May 29.

Association of American Indian Affairs Scholarship
Offers scholarships for graduate and undergraduate Native American and Alaska Natives with tribal enrollment. Applications are available from March 3 - June 2, 2014.  

Atlanta Dental Spa Essay Scholarship
Submissions will be accepted beginning January 20 and no later than August 15. Scholarship is available to all high school juniors or seniors, and all students currently registered in any accredited college.

Beat the Odds (Children’s Defense Fund) Scholarship Program
Rewards outstanding high school seniors who have overcome tremendous adversity to achieve academic excellence, demonstrate leadership in their community. Applications are due December 5th.  

Burger King Scholars
Assists employees, employees' spouses or domestic partners, employees' children and high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. Due January 17th. 

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program
Chooses 250 students to receive four-year awards. 50 are honored at the national level and given $20,000, while an additional 200 are selected as Regional Scholars.

ELKS National Foundation Most Valuable Student competition
For high school US Citizens.

The Gates Millenium Scholarship (GMS)
Program selects 1,000 talented students each year to receive a good-through-graduation scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice. Application available in August.

Hispanic Women’s Network
Sholarships awarded to Hispanic high school seniors girls who participate in their “Latina’s in Progress” education series.  

The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship
For minority high school seniors with high levels of leadership potential. Applications due February 15.  

John F Kennedy Courage Scholarship
Open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; U.S. students under the age of twenty enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories; and U.S. citizens attending schools overseas. Application due January 6th 

The Powdermaker Family Foundation Scholarship
Available to graduating students of Dallas County Schools. Application is due on April 1st.  

The Ronald McDonalds House of Charities

  • RMHC/African-American Future Achievers: Applicant must have at least one parent of African American or Black Caribbean heritage.
  • RMHC/HACER: Applicant must have at least one parent of Hispanic/Latino heritage.
  • RMHC/Scholars: All students are eligible to apply regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.
  • RMHC/Asia: Applicant must have at least one parent of Asian-Pacific heritage.

Scottish Rite Hospital Legacy Scholarship Program
Scholarships offered to former Scottish Rite Hospital of Dallas patients. Application due March 10th.

LULAC National Scholarship Fund (LNSF)

Provides financial grants and scholarships to families of deployed troops.

American Legion Auxiliary
Several scholarships for relatives of those who have served in the armed forces.

AMVETS National Service Foundation
Offers scholarships to veterans/active military, their sons, daughters or grand-children. Awarded on the basis of academic excellence and financial need, the scholarships go to deserving high school seniors, high school JROTC students and veterans pursuing a higher education. Deadline is in August.

Anthony Castelli Veteran's College Scholarship
Awarded annual  to a current military veteran or honorably discharged veteran or parent, sibling, child or grandchild of a current or honorably discharged veteran. 

Army Emergency Relief
Maintains two scholarship programs – the Spouse Education Assistance Program and the MG James Ursano Scholarship Program for dependent children. Application due in May.

Heroe’s Legacy Scholarship
Open to dependent unmarried children under 23. Application due March 14.

Hope for the Warriors Spouse/Caregiver Scholarship

Chair Scholarship Foundation
For high school seniors and college undergrads. The student must have a serious physical challenge and may or may not use a wheelchair for mobility. Application deadline is April 15th.

National Federation of the Blind
Student must be legally blind. Application deadline is March 31st.

Scholarships for Undocumented Students

The Dream. US
National scholarship fund for Dreamers who will beguin their first year in college and meet Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) eligibility criteria. The deadline for submission is May 31st.

La Unidad Latina Foundation Scholarship
Offers scholarships to current undocumented undergrad and grad students in different degree programs. There are two due dates for this scholarship: October and February.
