Why study at UNT Dallas?

This program is designed to produce career-ready graduates in digital production, sports and entertainment broadcasting and promotion, and strategic communication.  As a part of this major, students build their creative and team-building skills and develop useful professional networks.  All Communication & Technology students are encouraged to complete a Dallas-area internship before they graduate. 

How likely am I to get a job after graduation?

The Occupational Outlook Handbook reports that growth in jobs in the Dallas area is faster than average nationally.  As the fifth largest media market in the country, home to major sports and entertainment entities, and a national business hub, Dallas-Ft. Worth is broadly known as a center of innovation and economic prosperity.  These trends are reflected in the digital communication industries, which frequently feature six-figure annual incomes in DFW (eg. Advertising/Promotion Manager-$113,960; Marketing Manager $139,210; Art Director-$84,000; and Public Relations and Fundraising Manager-$126,940). (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).
