There are times when you need funds to purchase your books, but your financial aid has not yet been disbursed to your account. When this occurs we have a process where you can obtain your books using your anticipated financial aid refund. To obtain a book voucher, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • You must apply for financial aid (submit the FAFSA or TASFA).
  • You must have provided all of the requested documents.
  • Your aid cannot have disbursed.

The book voucher is an amount that you can use based on your enrolled hours in the university bookstore to purchase books until your financial aid has been awarded and disbursed. A charge will be placed on your account that will need to be repayed to the university.

Students that are Pell Grant eligible and it has not disbursed during the first five days of class are taken care of first. All other students can get a book voucher starting the sixth day through the 12th day of class. The student is responsible for any charges.

To obtain a book voucher, you should visit the Financial Aid Office.
