The Department of Psychology includes a high quality undergraduate curriculum in addition to four doctoral programs (clinical, clinical health, counseling, experimental psychology). Faculty offices, research spaces, and affiliated clinics and centers are all located in Terrill Hall on the UNT Denton campus. Come visit us!

Justin Litvin, Counseling PhD student of Dr. Trish Kaminski, moves on to final round in UNT 3MT competition

The 3MT is an academic competition that challenges students to describe their research within three minutes to a general audience. Justin successfully completed the Preliminary Competition and will compete in the final round on Saturday, April 9th, 2016, at 2:00pm in the UNT Union Lyceum. The Competition is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING THE NEXT EDITOR-IN-CHIEF?

The Newsletter will be looking for a new editor-in-chief to take over in Fall, 2016. The newly appointed editor will train with the present editor-in-chief. This position offers opportunity to meet and work with faculty and also provides valuable experience to add to your Resume and/or Curriculum Vita.

If you are interested in applying for the editor position, notify Dr. Schneider by Friday, March 11, 2016. Interviews will be conducted until the position is filled.

To apply, please send an email to Dr. Schneider in the Psychology Department: (Lawrence.Schneider@unt.edu) and indicate your interest in the editor-in-chief position. Alternatively you can leave a written statement regarding your interest in the Psychology Department main office (Terrill Hall, Room 316).

     • Be sure to include your contact information.

     • Be sure to include a copy of your Curriculum Vita.

     • Must hold sophomore or higher academic status.

     • Must have completed 9 credit hours of psychology coursework.

     • Membership in Psi Chi desirable.

     • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop or similar publishing software.

     • English and editing skills.

     • Interest and skill in gathering information for newsletter reports.

Undergraduate Research Application - Now Available For Spring 2016!

It is our intention to use this form at the beginning of each semester for people who want research experience. You only need to apply if you are not currently on a research team. Please complete it by February 12, at the latest!
