North Texas Falls Victim to Doubleheader Sweep in Stillwater, Splits Season Series 2-2
North Texas 2014 • Named the Conference USA Newcomer of the Year, the first specialty award winner in program history • Was named to the All-Conference USA Second Team • Led the team in RBI with 42, good for the fourth most in North Texas single-season history • Led the team in multiple-RBI games with 12 • Started all 53 games for the Mean Green in center field • Posted 13 multi-hit games • Hit game-tying home run in bottom of the 7th against JMU in season opener to force extras • Recorded a season-high three hits vs. (RV) Northern Iowa • Had a career-high 5 RBI against Prairie View A&M • Hit two home runs against UTSA and recorded four RBI in the game as well
NCTC • Led the Lady Lions to a 51-16 record and the Region V championship game • The 51 wins tied for the most in school history • Named first-team all-conference as a sophomore • Hit .461 with 100 hits, 20 doubles, three triples, 16 home runs and 53 RBI • Was 19 of 20 on stolen base attempts • Set 10 NCTC season or career records at the plate • Hit .450 with seven home runs and 51 RBIs as a freshman at North Central Texas College • Set single-season school records in at-bats (211), hits (95), doubles (22) and batting average • Was named all-conference and all-region after the Lions advanced to regionals in 2012 • Was selected to participate in the Texas Junior College All-Star Game High School • At South Grand Prairie High School, the outfielder was a two-time second-team all-state player • Was named District 5-5A Co-Defensive Player of the Year and honorable mention all-area as a senior • During her junior year, she was named district offensive player of the year
