DENTON - Outside hitter Carnae Dillard was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s All-Southwest Region Team, the organization announced on Tuesday. It is the first time that Dillard has been named to a regional team throughout her four-year career with the North Texas volleyball team.

Dillard was the only Conference USA player to take a spot on the 20-person All-Southwest Region First Team, while two other league players joined as honorable mention selections. The back-to-back C-USA Player of the Year capped off another stellar season for the Mean Green in November, finishing her career as the all-time leader in kills and attacks at North Texas.

The San Antonio native now has a chance to be named to the AVCA All-America Team, an honor that only one other volleyball player has earned in program history. She will be eligible for a spot on the first, second, third or honorable mention teams. All-America awards will be announced on Wednesday, December 16.
