Quick Hits On The North Texas Volleyball Season

Head coach Andrew Palileo's third year was another one of success as the Mean Green recorded its second 20-win season in three years under the Hawaii native. Senior Carnae Dillard was a showcase of the 2015-16 season, and under Palileo's leadership she repeated as Conference USA Player of the Year before becoming only the second honorable mention All-American selection in team history. North Texas advanced to the semifinal round of the C-USA Tournament behind a .241 hitting percentage that was the second-best mark in school history. Also joining Dillard with all-conference honors was Holly Milam, who earned a spot on the All-C-USA second team. North Texas will return 13 letterwinners in 2016.

The Volleyball Coaching Staff

Please note that, per NCAA rules, coaches can only respond via e-mail to juniors (after September 1) and seniors in high school. Coaches must mail responses to freshmen and sophomores, per NCAA rules. You can call any North Texas coach, but they cannot return your phone call unless you are a senior in high school.

Facilities
North Texas moved into in a brand new facility in 2006, the Mean Green Volleyball Center. Connected to the Volleyball Center is the office and locker room complex which houses team meeting rooms with built in audio/visual capabilities for volleyball, soccer, golf and swimming and softball teams. Amenities include state of the art locker rooms for volleyball, soccer and softball. Coaching staff offices, staff locker room, laundry facility, visitors and officials dressing rooms and auxiliary sport training room are included in this facility.

Academic Athletic Services
In the Fall of 2005, the academic and compliance staff relocated to the Mean Green Village. Located on Bonnie Brae, the new Student-Athlete Development Center is three times the size of the former academic center. The Center serves as the cornerstone of the Mean Green Village and is only a short walk from the surrounding sports facilities.
