I-35E construction update

Various lanes on north- and southbound I-35E, from Valwood Parkway in Carrollton to US 380 in Denton, will be closed daily from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., through Jan. 25 for road repairs. Motorists should also expect delays along the frontage roads in these areas as crews continue to repair potholes.

Other lane closures along I-35E include:

The left lane of north and south bound I-35E between Crosby and Luna Roads will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. through Feb. 8, to set a concrete traffic barrier.

As work is being performed, northbound traffic will be shifted east and southbound traffic will be shifted west.

These closures are needed for work related to the 35Express Project, an expansion of I-35E between US Highway 380 in Denton County and I-635 in Dallas County. All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary.
