Young Hoon Kim, interim chair and associate professor of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, was invited to one of the largest international forums for the hospitality and tourism industry. The International Forum of Urban Recreation and Tourism just completed their 2015 event in December, in which Kim spoke on implications for China in the tourism segment known as Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions, or MICE. Kim was invited as a distinguished expert to share his expertise on how communities in China can foster sustainable city growth, develop a robust tourism sector and create urban recreation centers. The forum was co-sponsored by Penn State University and Jinan University and was held Shenzhen Tourism College in China. (Courtesy photo)
