Since the jazz studies program (originally a major in "Dance Band") began in the 1946-47 school year, the One O'Clock has made recordings. Gene Hall and Leon Breeden made a number of LPs for the band members in the early years and then, with the creation of the world's first university record label: NT Jazz, Leon Breeden initiated the yearly recording tradition in 1967 that has continued right up to the present day. Constituting one of the largest recorded bodies of work in all of jazz, NT Jazz also boasts six Grammy nominations. Currently, we are in the process of making all of these recordings available in both hard copy and online formats. The following is a list of all of the projects that are currently available on CD. Watch for updates as the catalog develops.
