Gudrun Raschen

Gudrun Raschen has extensive solo, orchestral and chamber music experience on both double bass and cello. She has given concerts in the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Bolivia, Poland, Finland, Italy, Germany, South Africa and Namibia.

Elizabeth Chappell

Elizabeth Chappell taught orchestra for seventeen years in the Austin Independent School District in Austin, Texas. Twelve of those years were in Title One programs and this experience sparked one of her research interests, equity of access to music education in urban public schools. Dr.

Lynn Seaton

Lynn was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, July 18, 1957. He began studying classical guitar at age seven, switching to string bass at age nine. While studying music at the University of Oklahoma, he began working the clubs around the state.

In September of 1980, Lynn relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio to join the Steve Schmidt Trio and the Blue Wisp Big Band. He was awarded a Jazz Studies Fellowship in the summer of 1981 from the National Endowment for the Arts to study with Rufus Reid.

Allen Whear

Allen Whear is Associate Principal Cellist of Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Artistic Director of Pro Musica Rara, Baltimore, Maryland's premier early music ensemble. He is Principal Cellist and Recital Director of the Carmel Bach Festival in California. A graduate of the New England Conservatory and the Juilliard School, he was the recipient of an ITT International Fellowship and studied with Anner Bylsma in Amsterdam and holds a doctorate from Rutgers University.

Nikola Ruzevic

A native of Croatia, Nikola Ruzevic has established himself as an international performer and teacher. His career, to date, has taken him to many countries around the world where he has received critical acclaim for his artistry.

Cynthia Roberts

Cynthia Roberts is one of America's leading baroque violinists and has appeared as soloist, leader, and recitalist throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. She has served as concertmaster of the New York Collegium, Apollo's Fire, Concert Royal, and Les Arts Florissants. She performs regularly with the Boston Early Music Festival, Tafelmusik, and the American Bach Soloists. She has appeared with the London Classical Players, Taverner Players, Clarion Music Society, and Smithsonian Chamber Players.

Eugene Osadchy

Cellist Eugene Osadchy is hailed as having "the most refined and balanced string playing" by the New York Times and has been called "a paragon of Russian élan" by the Vancouver Sun. Newsday writes he is "a soloist with a clearly defined musical personality" and is noted for his "extraordinary playing" by the Dallas Morning News. "Mr. Osadchy possesses a very rich tone and is steeped in the great classical tradition. It is good to know that there are ardent keepers of the flame." The New York Sun.

Nathan Olson

A native of Berkeley, California, violinist Nathan Olson is in his first year as Co-Concertmaster with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Prior to his appointment with the DSO in 2011, Nathan held the position of Concertmaster with the Canton Symphony Orchestra and CityMusic Cleveland. Currently Concertmaster of the Breckenridge Music Festival, he has participated in the Mainly Mozart Festival, the Bravo Vail Music Festival, and the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival.

Felix Olschofka

German-born and raised violinist, Dr. Felix Olschofka, has toured as soloist, concertmaster, and chamber musician throughout Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. In 1993 Olschofka gave his international solo debut at the Seoul Arts Center with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Roman Kofman with whom he made his first recordings for Korean television and radio. The violin concertos by Beethoven, Brahms, Bruch, Mozart, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, and Stravinsky are amongst Olschofka’s signature works for solo violin.

Philip Lewis

Philip Lewis is hailed as one of the finest violinists/pedagogues in the US today. He has been described as a violinist of “Rare excellence—combining sensitivity, virtuosity, warmth, and vitality” (Baltimore Sun).
