English for the Hospitality and Tourism Industry

The University of North Texas’ (UNT) Intensive English Language Institute (IELI) and College of Merchandising, Hospitality, and Tourism (CMHT) have collaborated to bring students a special program designed for international students who are interested in careers related to hospitality and tourism management. Students enrolled in this program will have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to study hospitality and tourism principles and improve their English communication in and out of the classroom while experiencing life on an American campus.

Characterized by rigorous standards and proven results since 1977, IELI is the largest intensive English language program in North Texas, and CMHT is rated as one of the best Hospitality programs in the United States. Together, these programs offer the highest quality program guaranteeing the experience of a lifetime.

Students also have access to language software, movies, and books in IELI’s state-of-the-art multimedia lab to help improve their grammar, reading, listening, and speaking skills outside the classroom.

Hospitality and Tourism Management Courses

Daily lectures on hospitality and tourism management taught by a faculty member in CMHT will be given to students in the afternoon. Renowned professors and professionals are scheduled to address current issues in the field so that students are given the most up-to-date information.
