• The Mean Green avenged a 3-2 regular season loss with its win in the quarterfinals. Offense was the name of the game as Carnae Dillard finished with a match-high 25 kills. Meanwhile, three other players - Hannah Shaw (12 kills), Alexis Wright (10) and Holly Milam (10) - had double-digit kill outings, and setter Amy Henard had a season-high 60 assists.
• FAU is the only championship contender against which the Mean Green have a winning record in the all-time series, and that record extended on Friday night. NT holds the 9-3 advantage over the Owls.
• Dillard added more records to her collection in the first round of the conference tourney. With her first kill in Friday's match against Florida Atlantic, the senior set a new single season record for kills. She also became the first NT player to ever have 6,000 career attacks.
C-USA Semifinal | (4) North Texas Volleyball vs. (1) No. 21 WKU
• The Mean Green could not get its revenge for a 3-2 loss earlier this season. The top-seeded Hilltoppers took down North Texas in straight sets in the C-USA Championship's semifinal round.
• WKU continues to dominate the all-time series between these two programs. NT trails, 1-18, since the first meeting in 2000. The sole win for NT came in 2008.
• Dillard, two-time C-USA Player of the Year, played her final match with North Texas in the loss to WKU. She ends her prestigious career as the program's all-time leader in career kills (2,327), career attacks (6,063) and kills in a season (687).
• North Texas closes out the year with a .241 hitting percentage, the second-best mark in school history. The all-time record is .245, coming in the 1995 season.
• Sophomore Amanda Chamberlain rounded out the year hitting .312, which is good for the eight-best single season mark by an individual.
• The team picked up 20 wins in 2015, becoming one of only eight teams to do that in a single season. Two of those have come under head coach Andrew Palileo, whose team finished with a 22-10 record a year ago.
