William Scharnberg joined the faculty at the University of North Texas in 1983 and became a Regents Professor in 2002. He is principal horn of the Dallas Opera Orchestra and Wichita Falls Symphony and regularly performs chamber music in a variety of venues. He has been a member of the faculty at the University of Oklahoma, Pacific Lutheran University, the Royal Music Academy of Stockholm, and Central Missouri State University.
A native of Croatia, Nikola Ruzevic has established himself as an international performer and teacher. His career, to date, has taken him to many countries around the world where he has received critical acclaim for his artistry.
Kathleen Reynolds joined the College of Music at the University of North Texas as Professor of Bassoon and Woodwind Chamber Music Coordinator in the fall of 1995. She is principal bassoonist of the Dallas Opera Orchestra and performs regularly with the Dallas Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, and Chamber Music International. EcoClassics recorded her solo bassoon CD, Gems for Bassoon, with pianist Michele Levin and clarinetist Mitchell Lurie.
Pamela Mia Paul is both a brilliant performer and a deeply dedicated teacher. On stage, she has performed with the world’s great orchestras. She has given concerts throughout the United States, and in Europe, the People’s Republic of China, South Korea and Turkey both as soloist and as chamber musician.
George Papich received his formal musical training at the University of Michigan. His major teachers were Robert Courte and Mischa Mischakoff. He has had a variety of teaching experiences, both in public schools and universities, i.e. Brainerd Junior High School (Chattanooga, Tennessee), Trombley Elementary School (Grosse Pointe, Michigan), Northern Michigan University (Marguette, Michigan) and the University of North Texas (Denton, Texas). Dr. Papich has been principal violist in the Forth Worth Symphony, Dallas Opera, Dallas Lyric Opera, Dallas Ballet and the Chattanooga Symphony.
