Are you a team leader? Do you make good strategic decisions that lead to positive results? Do you enjoy collecting data or have strong computer skills? Then you should pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Decision Sciences at the University of North Texas.
Businesses employ people with training in decision sciences for business intelligence; business analytics; data mining; marketing research; and cost, investment or financial analysis, among other fields.

In the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences, we'll provide you with the background needed to make confident, successful decisions in today's competitive marketplace. You'll gain an understanding of accounting, manufacturing, finance, management, supply chain management, marketing and information technology through a comprehensive curriculum.
Our faculty members are outstanding teachers and renowned researchers. Their scholarly works have been published in respected journals such as Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, The American Statistician and Communications in Statistics.

The Business Leadership Building reflects our commitment to preparing future business leaders. The building — which has Gold-level Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification for sustainability — contains 24 classrooms, team study rooms and a state-of-the-art computer lab. This building distinguishes us as a leader in business education.
Earning a B.B.A. degree in Decision Sciences requires completing the university's core curriculum (42 credit hours), lower-level business foundation courses (24 credit hours), upper-level business foundation courses (24 credit hours) and professional field and supporting courses (30 credit hours).
Your professional field and supporting courses will focus on decision modeling, data mining, data warehousing, process improvement, Six Sigma analyses, simulation, statistics and business intelligence. You also use Minitab and business process management tools for business analysis.
Our Career Center, Learning Center and professional academic advisors are among the many valuable resources available to you at UNT. The Career Center can provide advice about internships, future employment opportunities and getting hands-on experience in your major. The Learning Center offers workshops on speed reading, study skills and time management. Academic advisors will help you plan your class schedule each semester.
We encourage you to fulfill the graduation requirements for the distinguished level of achievement under the Texas Foundation, Recommended or Distinguished Achievement high school program or the equivalent.
In your junior year, take the SAT or ACT and have your scores sent to UNT.
In your senior year, apply for admission at ApplyTexas.org by March 1 and request that your high school transcript be sent to the UNT admissions office.
Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses can count toward college credit at UNT.
If you're attending a Texas community college, you should consult our online transfer guides, the UNT Undergraduate Catalog and an academic counselor or advisor to review your degree plan. Proper planning will allow you to receive the maximum amount of transfer credits.
Our Transfer Center will help you make a successful transition to college life at UNT by connecting you with a peer mentor and other campus resources. Each year, 3,900 students transfer to UNT.
