Bio: 

Vincent Falsetta was born in Philadelphia, PA. He received his MFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia and Rome, Italy. Before joining the University of North Texas, he taught at Indiana University and the University of Utah. Falsetta was named the UNT Institute for the Advancement of the Arts Faculty Fellow for 2012 – 13. He was an Artist-in-Residency at the Bluecoat Art Center, Liverpool, UK, 2011 and at Brandywine Workshop in Philadelphia. He has exhibited in over 50 solo exhibition including shows at the El Paso Museum of Art, Museum of Southeast Texas, The Galveston Art Center, Museum of East Texas, Amarillo Art Center and Indiana University Art Museum. Gallery solo exhibitions include: Conduit Gallery, Dallas, OK Harris, NYC, REM Gallery, San Antonio, Anya Tish Gallery, Houston, Sherry Leedy Gallery, Kansas City, Hansen Galleries, NYC, Rosenfeld Gallery, Philadelphia, Soghor, Leonard & Associates, NYC and the Reading Room, Dallas. Recently his work was shown in the 2013 Texas Biennial, San Antonio.

Falsetta’s artwork is included in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, El Paso Museum of Art, Tyler Museum of Art, Tyler, TX, Utah Museum of Fine Arts, Sheldon Swope Art Museum, Terre Haute, IN and Brandywine Workshop, Philadelphia.
