What a Treat! I was invited to meet at ‪#‎TXLA2016‬ ‪#‎TXLA‬ with General Session One speaker - Levar Burton along with Dr. Rhea Lawson, Director Houston Public Library. ‪#‎UNTDLIS‬. We met with him for about 15 minutes. Now Levar knows all about UNT.
It was a super experience. I saw Roots at the age of 18. Today I met Kunta Kinte.

‪#‎UNTCOI‬ students and faculty gathered together for the Information Science Colloquium (also known as INFO 6945) on Friday, April 1. There was great food, and dynamic and energetic fellowship. Dr. Nick Evangelopoulos, Associate Professor in the ITDS Department rounded out the evening with a presentation about advances in the use of Latent Semantic Analysis on language. Here's to another successful COI event!

Congratulations to ‪#‎UNTCOI‬ student Nick Grove, on being identified as a 'Movers & Shakers 2016' by the Library Journal! Nick is a Digital Services Librarian and was recognized in the "Tech Leaders" category. He is currently a LIS Master's student, enrolled in the SWIM cohort.
