DENTON (10/06/06) Over 5,000 North Texas students and staff packed the Super Pit on Friday for the Dallas Mavericks preseason scrimmage.
The inter-squad game capped off the team’s opening week of training camp held at the North Texas campus.
Both the Mean Green men and women’s teams were recognized at the intermission, as well as legendary former North Texas head coach Bill Blakely.
The Mean Green women host the Houston Jaguars on Nov. 3, while the men host Texas College on Nov. 7.
The Mavericks open preseason play on Oct. 10 against the Okla. City/New Orleans Hornets.
