Community Workstations

The University of North Texas Libraries maintains community workstations in support of learning and research at University of North Texas.

Course Reserves

Required or recommended readings, music, media and other items for courses can be found at either a reserve desk or online. This page provides links to policies, online systems, and can help you find the right desk. See:

Faculty Borrowing Privileges

Special borrowing privileges are extended to UNT Faculty and Staff. Find out who qualifies, get an overview of loan periods, limits, and how to authorize your assistants to pick items up for you.

Holds and Recalls

Need something that's already checked out? Try making a recall request. Find out how to recall items, what happens if your's are recalled, how to avoid fines, and where you can pick held items up.

Material Delivery Service- Now Online Holds

We can deliver many regular circulating items to various UNT campus locations for you.  Find out who qualifies, delivery locations & timing, how to make requests, and limitations as some restrictions apply. Media 111C Screening Room

This space accommodates 40-50 people and can be used by classes needing to screen audio-visual materials. This page details important information about its equipment, reserving the space, and public performing rights.

Media Booking & Courier Service

Booking requests may be made by faculty and other teaching staff to use Media items for a class. Faculty may also request delivery of booked materials to and from central departmental offices. Learn about delivery times, who qualifies, and how to make a request on this page.

Media Gaming Stations

The Media Library has console and PC Gaming stations available for individuals and groups wishing to play games in the Media Library and for studying games.

Film and Media reference services are available upon request.

Media Transfer Service

Did you know we offer a free, self-service audio-video transfer station? Learn how you can move your old videos onto newer media storage in the Media Library.

Media Viewing Carrels

Need to watch a video while on campus during the school day? Don't own a Laserdisc or 16mm player?  We have space for you.

Paying Fines

Do you have an overdue, lost, or damaged item? Is your account blocked? Learn how/where to resolve, dispute, or pay your fines.

Placing Items on Reserves

Information and forms for faculty who need to place library-owned or personal items on reserves.

Renew Your Materials

If you haven't finished using an item before it's due, you can often renew it online or in person.  Learn which items are eligible as well as special rules that may apply.
