Andrekus Dixon is native of Paris, Texas where he graduated from Paris High School in 2000. Andrekus earned a football scholarship to Southern Arkansas University where he played four years and earned All Defense Gulf South Honors. Andrekus was a four year member of the Dean’s List at Southern Arkansas University. Andrekus joined Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity in 2003 and held the position of Vice President for two years within the organization.

Andrekus graduated from Southern Arkansas University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. The thirst for knowledge did not end there for Andrekus, who then earned a Master’s of Science Degree from the University of North Texas in 2008. While working full-time as a Community Supervision Officer for Denton County, Andrekus was also a member of the National Scholars Honor Society and a member of Alpha Phi Sigma while obtaining his Master’s Degree. He held the position of President for Alpha Phi Sigma for a year.

After graduation from The University of North Texas Graduate School Andrekus would begin teaching as an adjunct professor at North Central Texas College in 2008 and joined the University of North Texas as an adjunct professor in 2011. Andrekus takes great pride in the responsibility of teaching and educating his students. He believes that the classroom can be both fun and a learning environment. When Andrekus is not preparing for classes or researching, he enjoys working out, watching sports and spending time with family.
